"Water by the Spoonful" Gets Its NJ Premiere at Premiere Stages

In this moth's video feature, Jesse and Dave are in Union to talk to some of the multifaceted characters of the Pulitzer Prize-winning drama "Water by the Spoonful," now making its New Jersey debut at Premiere Stages at Kean University. Written by Quiara Alegría Hudes and directed by Kel Haney, "Water by the Spoonful" paints a portrait of redemption and forgiveness in this moving, humorous, relatable show. The tale follows Elliot, an Iraq War vet, his cousin Yazmin, a recent divorcee, and Odessa, Elliott's estranged mother who has found her escape in a new online family of fellow addicts. As the fractured family negotiates the limitations of loyalty, friendship and community, they also discover acceptance and grace.
