Shining (another) Spotlight on Norm Lewis

"Hello, I'm Norm Lewis and I'm an actor in musical theatre."
Talk about an understatement.
From “The Phantom of the Opera” to “Porgy and Bess,” “Disney's The Little Mermaid” to “The Wild Party” and “Les Miserables” to “Sweeney Todd,” Norm Lewis is a force to be reckoned with. And though he described himself as a tepid child, Lewis is no longer afraid of a new challenge or a new adventure.
Well-known as the first African American Phantom on Broadway—and paving the way for others in that role and many more—Lewis is currently filling Mrs. Lovett’s meat pies as the demon barber of Fleet Street off-Broadway, but will be popping down to Jersey to perform his “Who Am I?” concert at bergenPAC on June 16.
Don't miss this special artist profile for the opportunity to hear directly from King Triton/the Phantom/Sweeney Todd what music and theatre mean to him.
