Head into the rehearsal hall with Jesse and Dave as New Jersey Ballet prepares for its long-running, family-friendly “Sleeping Beauty.”

Based on the timeless fairy tale and set to Tchaikovsky’s classic score, NJ Ballet’s “Sleeping Beauty” is one of the company’s major repertory works – they’ve been performing the ballet since 1989! – and on Sunday, March 20, they will use 45 dancers of all ages to bring the magic and romance to Mayo Performing Arts Center.

In this special presentation, tailored for first-time ballet goers, NJ Ballet uses original “storyteller” narration so even the littlest theatergoer can keep up with ease. Be sure to bring the whole family, “Sleeping Beauty” is a wonderful way to enjoy the magic of dance theatre.
