Young Audiences For Learning New Jersey & Eastern Pennsylvania

Young Audiences for Learning of New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania (YA) inspires young people and enhances their education through the arts. As the region’s largest arts education organization since 1973, YA partners with schools to bring professional teaching artists directly to students, making the arts accessible to all, regardless of socioeconomic background or ability.

YA’s model includes workshops, residencies, performances, and teacher professional development, all tailored to complement school curricula and meet specific educational needs. Their programs align with New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards in the Arts, NJDOE SEL Competencies, National Core Arts Standards, and 21st Century Skills.

YA collaborates closely with schools to overcome barriers such as budget constraints and testing demands, fostering a culture that embraces the arts. Their programs are child-centered, outcome-driven, and proven effective. Students experience high-quality art, understand its context, create their own works, and connect the arts to broader life and learning.

Passionate about advocating for arts education, YA runs initiatives like the Arts Champions Award Program and the #ArtsMatterYA campaign to celebrate and promote the importance of the arts in education.

Join YA in their mission to enrich students’ lives through the arts. Visit their website to learn more and get involved in transforming education with creativity and inspiration.
