Warren County Cultural & Heritage Commission

The Warren County Division of Cultural and Heritage Affairs offers an array of programs and sites that celebrate the arts, history, and cultural heritage of the community. From engaging events at the historic Shippen Manor to the vibrant Summer Concert Series, there is something for everyone.

The historic Shippen Manor, a beautifully restored 18th-century iron master's mansion, stands as a testament to Warren County's rich history. Located in Oxford Township, this mansion was built in 1755 and is part of the National Register of Historic Places. Visitors can explore the Manor's fascinating past and learn about its role in the Oxford Industrial Historic District.

Warren County's vibrant cultural scene is further enriched by various programs that foster public interest in the arts. The Annual Warren County Seniors' Art Show, co-sponsored by the Division of Aging and Disability Services, showcases original works in diverse categories such as acrylic, craft, computer imagery, drawing, mixed media, oil, pastel, photography, print, and watercolor. This event highlights the creative talents of local seniors and fosters community engagement through the arts.

The local Arts Grant program is sponsored by the Warren County Cultural & Heritage Division of Land Preservation, supported by the Warren County Freeholders, and funded by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
