Union County Office of Cultural and Heritage Affairs invites you to experience the vibrant arts and rich history that shape our community. This organization is dedicated to promoting public interest and participation in the arts and local history, ensuring all residents benefit from the county's multicultural heritage and historic resources.

Celebrated for innovative programs, Union County received the National Association of Counties Achievement Award for the traveling photo exhibit “100 Years of Union County Parks.” This pop-up exhibit showcased captivating images from the county archives, celebrating the development and enjoyment of Union County parks over a century.

Enhancing quality of life, economic development, community revitalization, and cultural-heritage tourism, the Office offers numerous programs and activities for all ages. Engage with the Commissioners’ Gallery, participate in history events like Four Centuries in a Weekend, attend lectures on history, culture, and poetry, or explore publications about local history.

Do not miss the Senior Art Exhibit, featuring 133 original works by residents aged 60 and above, presented virtually for everyone to enjoy. Paintings, drawings, photography, digital art, mixed media, sculptures, and crafts showcase the incredible talent within our community.

The Office also provides funding opportunities through various grant programs and hosts arts initiatives such as Teen Arts and Care for Caregivers.

Join us and immerse yourself in the cultural richness of Union County. Attend an event, view an exhibit, or participate in a program to connect with the arts and history that define our community.
