Teen Arts NJ

Formerly known as the Arts and Education Center, Teen Arts NJ is a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring artistic innovation and creativity through high-quality education in the literary, performing, and visual arts. Recognized by the New Jersey Department of Education for its innovative programming, Teen Arts NJ offers diverse performances, educational programs, and community events that cater to all ages and interests.

Teen Arts NJ is renowned for its Arts High program, providing exceptional learning opportunities for gifted students through instruction from renowned artists. This program nurtures young talents, helping them hone their skills and gain invaluable insights. Additionally, Teen Arts NJ organizes the New Jersey State Teen Arts Festival (NJSTAF), an annual celebration dedicated to uniting New Jersey teen artists, educators, professional artists, and arts advocates.
NJSTAF features activities focused on recognizing the accomplishments of New Jersey's teen artists by showcasing their creative efforts in the literary, performing, and visual arts. These showcases, nominated by their home counties, represent the great talent blossoming throughout New Jersey's communities. The festival also offers Master Class Workshops to help students develop perceptual, intellectual, and technical skills, gain cultural awareness, and develop personal aesthetic values.

Professional development for teachers is provided, along with a college fair featuring institutions dedicated to developing future arts professionals. During NJSTAF, students can receive valuable feedback about their art through group and individual critiques, both written and verbal, enhancing their educational experience.
