The South Orange-Maplewood Adult School

The South Orange-Maplewood Adult School is a community-based school for all ages dedicated to lifelong learning. Its mission is to inspire, engage, empower, and connect to our inclusive and diverse community through innovative education.

More than 150 courses and lectures are offered in the fall and spring, with a modified schedule in the summer. While most of their programming is for people aged 14+, they also offer classes for children and parents and children together. Classes take place at Columbia High School in Maplewood.

Courses include art and music, with increased programming for children during the school year in violin and guitar lessons.
