South Jersey Artist Collective

South Jersey's vibrant arts scene includes the South Jersey Artist Collective, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and promoting local artists through engaging events, projects, and exhibitions. Based in Gloucester and Camden counties, the Collective is a cornerstone of the community, bringing artists and art lovers together.

The South Jersey Artist Collective's inaugural exhibition, "Rapid Response Collection", showcased the work of over 40 artists from the region. This powerful exhibition featured artwork created during or inspired by the COVID-19 pandemic, highlighting the resilience and creativity of South Jersey's artistic community. Held at the Ross Beitzel Gallery on the campus of Rowan College at Gloucester County, the exhibition drew significant attention and acclaim.

In collaboration with the Gloucester County Cultural and Heritage Commission, the Art For Everyone project funded local artists to teach free art classes to students aged 16 and up. These classes, held at various libraries, coffee shops, and community centers around Gloucester County, provided invaluable opportunities for community members to explore different mediums, styles, and cultural designs under the guidance of eight talented arts educators.

The South Jersey Artist Collective thrives on community support, making it possible to continue offering these enriching programs and exhibitions. Join the Collective and be part of a dynamic community that celebrates and nurtures the arts in South Jersey.
