Located in Camden, N.J., directly across the Delaware River from Philadelphia, Rutgers–Camden thrives thanks to a supportive culture that helps students achieve their goals and grow academically and artistically. The university’s Visual, Media, and Performing Arts department offers students a wide variety of opportunities to explore the technical, academic, and creative aspects of the arts, offering majors and concentrations in animation, graphic design, painting, photography, sculpture, art history, music, theater, and film making. Our commitment to community engagement – both on campus and beyond – helps set the stage for a host of arts programming that is open to the public and designed to inspire and delight. From lunch-hour concerts to unique art exhibitions, concerts, theater productions, author readings, and poetry workshops, Rutgers–Camden’s campus is alive with a creative spirit and the opportunity to be enriched by the arts.
