Princeton Symphony Orchestra
Since its founding in 1980, the Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) has evolved into a professional orchestra of the highest artistic quality. Offering orchestral, pops, and chamber music concerts, as well as lecture events, children’s programs, and innovative, collaborative programming, the orchestra is Princeton’s hub for classical music knowledge and a gateway to the exploration of new music and performance practices.
The PSO presents orchestral, pops, and chamber music programs of the highest artistic quality and the Princeton Festival each June. The only independent, professional orchestra to make its home in Princeton, the PSO performs at the historic Richardson Auditorium on the campus of Princeton University.
A cultural centerpiece of the Princeton community and one of New Jersey’s finest music organizations, PSO has established its position through performances of beloved masterworks, innovative music by living composers, and an extensive network of educational programs offered to area students free of charge.
