NJPAC (New Jersey Performing Arts Center)

The New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) is the anchor cultural institution for the city of Newark and the largest performing arts center in New Jersey.

NJPAC delights audiences with world-class performances, nurtures students through comprehensive arts education programs, and engages its community with free cultural events across the city.

But NJPAC is also pushing the boundaries of what an Arts Center can do and is proud to prioritize inclusion in every aspect of our mission. We welcome the country's most diverse audiences and artists to their stages, lead public conversations on social justice issues, and foster an equitable workplace.

We are also one of the largest arts education providers in America, bringing the life-enhancing power of the arts to the children who need it most. We have engaged over 10,300,000 people since opening in 1997, 100,000+ students and families reached each year, 3,000 classes and workshops offered each year, and 200+ free community events presented annually.

NJPAC likes to say that we are more than a venue; we are a community. That’s why we are one of the few performing arts centers in the country, with an entire department dedicated to reaching out, building connections, and having fun with our neighbors through several community events.
