Hunterdon County Cultural & Heritage Commission

The Hunterdon County Cultural & Heritage Commission promotes and supports Hunterdon County’s arts, culture, and history by nurturing a sense of place, a culture of creativity, and an enthusiasm to preserve and maintain its history.

The Commission supports local arts development through planned programming and other services provided by the Cultural & Heritage office and re-grants through a formal application/independent peer review panel process to support eligible local arts organizations and other non-profit organizations within Hunterdon County that provide public art projects/programs, services and development.

Its Hunterdon County Teen Arts Festival is open to all 13- to 19-year-old students who attend school in Hunterdon County. The event provides a forum for students to showcase their talents through exhibitions of visual art, theatrical presentations, dance, vocal and instrumental music performances, and presentations original film and creative writing. Students experience the work of their peers and receive constructive feedback from professional artists.
