Burlington County Footlighters
Burlington County Footlighters encourages the appreciation of theatre and other cultural programming through public presentations of these artistic endeavors; to allow non-professionals a place to explore their creativity; to provide education in the arts for young people in the region; and to engage with their community through outreach and activities designed to further these goals.
On their 2nd Stage, every performance becomes an intimate encounter between the performers and the audience, forging a connection that transcends traditional theater boundaries. Their stage is a canvas for emerging talents and seasoned artists alike, providing a platform for bold experimentation and artistic expression. Boundaries blur, emotions surge and art comes alive in its most intimate and powerful form. With limited seating, it is a theater experience like no other.
Burlington County Footlighters Children's Theater has an education program for children and teens who love theater. BCF Children's Theater has programming throughout the year where participants work with experienced theatre performers and teachers in a friendly environment, culminating in memorable shows!
Intern Co. is the Footlighter’s theatre education program for high school and college students. Students participating in the Intern Co. learn about theatre by handling every aspect of mounting a full-scale show: from acting, costuming, make-up and effects, writing inventive new scripts, composing original music, designing and building a set, marketing, publicity, and more. Students have used the tools they learned at the Intern Co. to become professional actors and directors.
