Black Box Performing Arts Center
The Black Box Performing Arts Center (a 501c3 nonprofit organization founded in 2019)is composed of a small, tight-knit group of collaborative artists who create full seasons of cutting-edge theater, developing new and underproduced original works for the stage while also reviving old and newer classics. The Black Box provides a haven for important American voices to flourish in a professional space without censorship. Our team also presents other art forms, such as comedy and music, as we foster the emergence of a new and unique artistic community.
Black Box PAC has incubated new and under-produced plays by world-class artists such as Eric Bogosian, Paul Schrader, Beth Henley, Craig Lucas, Neil Labute, Daniel Handler, Ken Levine, and John Patrick Shanley. Collaborations are now underway with The Estates of Edward Albee, Sam Shepard, and I.B. Singer, as well as with artists including John Lahr, Halley Feiffer, and Billy Martin.
Additionally, a growing list of Broadway, Film, TV, Music, and Comedy performers continue to collaborate on special projects: Mark Riccadonna (Comedian and Writer for SNL), Danielle Ferland ("Little Red" from the Original Broadway Cast of Into the Woods), and more!
