Arts Institute of Middlesex County

The Arts Institute of Middlesex County believes that all residents should have access to and the opportunity to participate in arts, culture, folklife, and history experiences to enrich their lives. Middlesex County has a strong and long-standing legacy and tradition of supporting arts, history, folklife, and cultural heritage. We aspire to reach all county residents through these funding programs that are available to qualifying organizations.

Arts Institute Priorities include increasing participation in arts, culture/folklife, and history by eliminating or reducing access barriers; advancing and advocating for the role arts, culture, and history play as essential pillars for healthy communities; bringing together diverse artists, presenters, and cultural organizations; and activating the County’s historical sites with living history demonstrations and relevant programming.

The Arts Institute of Middlesex County offers grants for General Operating Support, Program Support, Historic Preservation, and Capital projects. The annual grant cycle opens each summer with the announcement of Grant Writing Workshops and Guidelines for each program.
