Arts Ed NJ
Arts Ed NJ is a collective impact coalition of statewide partners that works to ensure that all New Jersey Prek-12 public school students participate in a high quality, sequential, equitable arts education that celebrates diverse lived experience and artistic expression and prepares the creative leaders of tomorrow.
The Arts ED NJ was created in 2007 to be the unified voice for arts education, following years of planning and input by arts and education leaders statewide. The organization was founded as a co-sponsored program of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, with additional support from the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, and the New Jersey Department of Education. On July 1, 2015, NJAEP became an independent non-profit organization.
Arts Ed NJ runs a critical Arts Ed NOW and FOR ALL Campaign, offers professional learning, coordinates March in our Schools Month, co-chairs the NJ Governor's Arts Education Awards, runs a Youth Arts Education Council, and conducts critical research in the field. In addition, Arts Ed NJ runs the Center for Arts Education and Social Emotional Learning which serves the entire nation.
