Cie Stroud

From March of 2022 to Aug. of 2023, Cie (pronounced “C”, short for Catherine, long story) was the assignment editor and editor of feature stories, podcasts and videos on JerseyArts.com. She also managed the online content of the seasonal campaigns on JerseyArts.com, ArtPride’s Voices From the Field blog and ArtPrideNJ.org. She left ArtPride to take another opportunity.
A visual storyteller for over 25 years, Cie has a plethora of experience in content creation and management. She has won numerous photojournalism awards, built 50+ websites, and managed freelance writers in 7 countries. Before joining ArtPride, she was the Director of the nonprofit Burlington Quaker Meeting House and Center for Conference, in charge of rentals, programming, and marketing, generating all media. It was a role that developed out of her freelance photography and web design business of nearly 20 years, many of the clients for which were also nonprofits. Prior, she was a staff photographer The Times of Trenton newspaper for 6 years. Earlier, she managed the production of trade journals in multiple language editions and earlier still, the high-volume digitization of imagery.
She has served on the board of the Trenton City Museum and as an officer of the New Jersey Press Photographers Association. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication from the E.W. Scripps School of Communication at Ohio University.
Cie lives in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, within sight of the New Jersey state capital, and is a podcast junkie, sci-fi fan and avid sea kayaker.
