2017 JerseyArts.com People's Choice Awards | Rules and Restrictions
Voting Process

Voting for the 2017 JerseyArts.com People's Choice Awards begins at 12:00pm on January 5, 2017 and ends at 11:59pm on February 16, 2017. Anyone can vote in the awards; however, you must have your cookies enabled for the survey tool to work properly. To vote simply:

(1) select an organization from the list of nominees in each category or
(2) ues the write-in option provided in each category

If using the write-in option please note: a group must be registered with the Jersey Arts Marketers (JAM), a network of hundreds of New Jersey-based cultural organizations. For a list of eligible organizations, visit our online arts directory.

An organization must receive a minimum of two hundred votes to appear in the official results. Groups must also fit the general description of the category listed in order to be considered eligible (e.g. a theater company would not be eligible in the museum category).

While it is not required to vote in every category, ballots are not considered valid until submitted at the end of the process. If a voter does not wish to vote in a certain category he/she can simply skip it.

Ballots are restricted to one per email address and each ballot may only cast one vote in each category. Only votes cast via the 2017 JerseyArts.com People's Choice Awards online ballot will be considered eligible.

Organizations listed were nominated by their peers through online balloting. All organizations registered with the Jersey Arts Marketers were provided access to the nominations ballot and restricted from voting for themselves in any category. Those listed received the most support in each category and are listed in order, starting with the group receiving the largest number of nominations at the top. The number of votes required for an organization to be nominated varied for each category, as does the number or organizations nominated in each category. Nearly one hundred arts industry professionals participated in the nominations process, which was held from December 6, 2016 through December 23, 2016.

Winners will be announced and presented their awards at the New Jersey Conference on Tourism at Resorts Casino and Hotel in Atlantic City on March 10, 2017. Detailed results will also be posted on JerseyArts.com and emailed to all voters.
