Ken Ludwig's "A Comedy of Tenors"
Paper Mill Playhouse | Millburn

Come see Paper Mill's next big hit with us! You'll get dramatically discounted tickets (50% off!) and enjoy a post-show reception featuring an intimate conversation with the playwright, Ken Ludwig!

About the show:
"A Comedy of Tenors" is the sequel to the award-winning grand-slam comedy "Lend Me a Tenor." This production reunites the first show's original Paper Mill cast for an uproarious ride full of mistaken identities, bedroom hijinks, and madcap delight. One hotel suite, four tenors, two wives, three girlfriends, and a soccer stadium filled with screaming fans. What could possibly go wrong? It’s 1930s Paris and the stage is set for the concert of the century—as long as producer Henry Saunders can keep the amorous Italian superstar and his hot-blooded wife from causing runaway chaos.

About Ken Ludwig:
We'll speak with the playwright himself! His first play on Broadway, "Lend Me A Tenor," which the Washington Post called "one of the classic comedies of the 20th century,” won two Tony Awards and was nominated for seven.

Sign up for our member party for:
1) a discounted ticket to the 1:30pm performance (an $80 value!)

-- all for less than half the cost of a regular ticket!

New Jersey Symphony Orchestra:
Ravel's "Bolero"

State Theatre New Jersey | New Brunswick

XIAN ZHAN, conductor | DEREK FENSTERMACHER, tuba | YING LI and ZITONG WANG, piano | NEW JERSEY SYMPHONY, ORCHESTRA

A pair of delightful and familiar works headline this light-hearted program that also shines the spotlight on NJSO Principal Tuba Derek Fenstermacher.

TAN DUN Internet Symphony No. 1, “Eroica”
Known for his score to Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Tan Dun surprisingly quotes Beethoven’s “Eroica” in this engaging piece written for the first YouTube Orchestra.

VAUGHAN WILLIAMS Tuba Concerto
An affectionate ode to one of the orchestra’s lowest-pitched instruments: the tuba. The first concerto for the instrument written by a major composer.

SAINT-SAËNS Carnival of the Animals
Witty and rollicking. Kids and adults alike will enjoy a romp through the animal kingdom with Saint-Saëns’ classic for duo piano and orchestra.

RAVEL Boléro
With its poised, relentless pulse, this sensual work memorably formed the soundtrack to Dudley Moore’s reveries in the movie 10.
