Jersey Arts Ticket Member Card & eSavers Program

More than 100 JAM organizations statewide offer discounts and premiums to the nearly 40,000 current Jersey Arts Members. Discounts offered can be customized for each event submitted to JerseyArts.com. These organizations benefit from highlighted exposure on JerseyArts.com.

In addition to standard discounts, groups that extend special "2-for-1" offers are also eligible for inclusion in our monthly "e-Savers" email that goes out our members, featuring 10-15 highlighted events taking place statewide. These events are also tagged as "Special Offers" in the event calendar.

Jersey Arts List Exchange - New & Improved for 2010
TheJersey Arts List Exchange is a community patron database comprised of mailing lists from participating nonprofit cultural groups. Its purpose is to simplify mailing list exchanges; identify a targeted, qualified and focused group of arts consumers; examine consumer behavior through comparative market analysis; and support statewide advocacy efforts. As the most comprehensive database of arts patrons for New Jersey available, this list features information on hundreds of thousands of arts patrons in the region.

Significant upgrades have been made from the program's previous Jersey Arts List Cooperative model including: online access to data; premission-based controls to determine how and when data is accessed; improved demographic and psychographics filters; frequent data updates, and more.

New member recruitment is currently open through 5:00pm (EST) February 23, 2010. Please review the Project Overview and Registration Agreement Form for details. To register submit a signed copy of the Agreement Form and USPS PAF form found below by the recruitment deadline.

Jersey Arts Gift Card Network
This closed network gift card program, developed by DJA in partnership with DISCOVER Card, offers a centralized gift card option for consumers. Marketed and distributed by DJA, patrons can redeem their gift card at any of the participating JAM locations, use some of their gift card at one location and some at another, and carry a balance until the card expires. Using the DISCOVER Card network allows the card to process exactly like a credit card transaction, eliminating the need for messy reimbursements. JAM groups can apply for inclusion in the network during open recruitment periods.

Generation NEXT Series
This series, coordinated in partnership with the New Jersey Young Professionals (NJYP), highlights events specifically targeting the 21-39 demographic. Events included in the series must feature an educational component that enhances the experience of an existing cultural event attractive to the target audience (i.e. post-performance talk-back session with a playwright or docent tour of an exhibition) as well as a social networking opportunity (i.e. post-performance cocktail party). Events are submitted for consideration through a seasonal RFP distributed to JAM member organizations.

Currently all submission deadlines for the 2009-10 Gen NEXT series have passed. Check back for information on the 2010-11 series.

Discover Jersey Arts Month - October
October 2008 and 2009 were officially proclaimed Discover Jersey Arts Month. In 2009, the DJA program coordinated a “You Tube Video Submission Contest” around the theme of “Why I Love NJ Arts” to provide the public with an opportunity to celebrate their love for the arts in New Jersey during this designated month.

People's Choice Awards

Organizations registered with JAM have the opportunity to nominate other JAM member groups for these annual awards in a number of different categories (i.e. Favorite Theater, Performing Arts Center, Museum, Dance Company, etc) with the provision that they may not nominate themselves. Groups receiving the largest number of nominations by their peers are listed in a poll, along with a write in option, for public voting. Groups receiving the most public votes in each category win. These winners are announced each January and are presented plaques at the annual Governor’s Conference on Tourism in April.

Media Roundtable Events
In addition to its quarterly meetings, DJA coordinates two regional Media Roundtable professional development events annually – one in North Jersey and one in South Jersey. These day-long events begin with a morning "media panel" comprised of representatives from the regional press there to share information on how arts organizations can more effectively gain media coverage. The afternoon features a networking lunch followed by a series of professional development workshops on a variety of audience development topics.
