GOVERNOR CORZINE DECLARES OCTOBER “DISCOVER JERSEY ARTS MONTH”
JERSEYARTS.COM CELEBRATES WITH “I LOVE NJ ARTS” VIDEO CONTEST
BURLINGTON, NEW JERSEY:
In honor of Governor Jon Corzine’s official proclamation declaring October as “Discover Jersey Arts Month”, the ArtPride New Jersey Foundation is inviting the public to submit 30-to-60 second videos about why they love the arts in New Jersey to JerseyArts.com. This “I Love NJ Arts” video contest will run throughout the month of October.
“Governor Corzine’s proclamation really underscores the importance of the arts in New Jersey,” said Ann Marie Miller, Executive Director of the ArtPride New Jersey Foundation. “We wanted to give New Jersey residents an opportunity to voice their love of the arts in the Garden State, and we hope that this contest gives them a chance to do so with a contagious sense of vibrancy and enjoyment.”
A panel of New Jersey film personalities will judge all submissions in early November. Three winning entries will each receive a customized Flip Mino video camera, and five alternative winning entries will receive FILM GEEK t-shirts from the JerseyArts.com online store.
“This is a fun, playful, and ultimately open way for arts lovers to connect across the whole gamut of the New Jersey arts scene,” said Miller. “I’m greatly looking forward to seeing the creativity and passion in these submissions.”
Submissions are being accepted through October 31 at 11:59 pm. For complete contest details visit www.JerseyArts.com/videocontest.
